My mission is to empower people by designing scenarios, artworks, products, tools and techniques that enable natural and intuitive communication, learning and creation processes. I do so by integrating qualitative, quantitative and speculative design techniques to map technologies, markets, users and trends.
What makes me kick is to experiment with emerging technologies, and then use what I discover to turn abstract concepts into tangible realities through design.
Some of the projects I recently led include - designing wearables and smart textiles for the extreme sports and first responders sectors; developing a virtual fabrication, site specific and mass customization tool for sustainable production of consumer goods; designing the wearable art for Transparent Borders, an award winning dance performance; developing Knitnet, an award winning machine learning IOT powered tool that captures knitting gestures and translates them into editable patterns on a connected digital platform.
For the past 7 years I have also been working as an adjunct lecturer at Shenkar College, building instructional content; teaching courses and workshopscentred around design thinking, data visualization, urban design, circular economy, material driven research, interaction design, branding and visual storytelling.
