This project explores how personalized color choices can support zero-waste, on-demand production of soft goods. Created in collaboration with Twine Solutions, a sustainable textile tech startup focused on digital dyeing, the project imagines a future where interior textiles are made to order.
The idea comes to life through a prodcut video, a textile collection, and a mobile experience that lets users capture colors from their surroundings, apply them to designs, and send selected products straight to production.
Using a bottom-up approach, weaving constraints—along with pattern and color construction - inform the design of the mobile product. The digital experience begins with all samples shown in shades of grey; color is introduced only after users sample it from their physical surroundings.
The digital experience is grounded in the material world, evolving directly from hands-on exploration of physical textile samples and their spatial context.
